Officer Sentenced for Reckless Use of Firearm Posted 27 June 2008 A Dubuque police officer remains on administrative leave after being sentenced for criminal mischief and reckless use of a firearm charges earlier this month.   Court documents show that Lt. Scott Simpson was given a deferred judgment of one year and was sentenced to one year of probation.   Officials say a charge of public intoxication was dropped because the incident happened on private property.
