Man
Arrested After Shooting Incident
Posted 19 June 2008
Gregory Conception Ibarrondo, 23, of Dubuque, was arrested Monday, June
16, on a terrorism charge - a class "B" felony - after local police
report he allegedly fired four or five shots at a tan 1999 Cadillac
DeVille while the owner, Jason Cory Burns, 30 of Dubuque, was sitting
in the vehicle.
At approximately 5:38 p.m. Monday afternoon, two shots struck Burns'
windshield, a third struck the right rear side of the Cadillac and a
fourth round ricocheted into an unoccupied vehicle parked in the 2200
block of Queen Street, resulting in damages of approximately $1,200.
Authorities say Ibarrondo and Burns were involved in a verbal
disturbance between the occupants of two vehicles near the intersection
of 14th and Iowa streets. The disturbance continued to the area of 22nd
and Queen streets.
Police located Ibarrondo at his residence and arrested him without
incident. He was booked into jail and held for court.
