Seniors
may be Eligible for Local Produce Checks

Scenic Valley Area Agency on Aging is offering seniors checks good for
up to $28 worth of Iowa-grown produce through the Iowa Senior Farmers'
Market Nutrition Program.
Checks will be available to picked up today, Wednesday, June 11, at the
Greeley Meal Site in Greeley from 11 to 11:30 a.m.; and at the
Worthington Community Center in Worthington from noon to 12:30 p.m.
Checks are also available tomorrow, Thursday, June 12, at the Cascade
Senior Citizen Center in Cascade from 11 to 11:30 a.m.; and at the
Farley Fireman's Hall in Farley from 11:30 a.m. to noon.
Eligible seniors should stop by the locations to pick up their checks.
The checks are good for locally grown fresh fruit and vegetables sold
at participating farmers markets across the state, and may be used now
through October.
